اسکوپ استاندارد :

API 6ACRA الزامات آلیاژهای پایه نیکل سخت شده ای را ارائه می‌دهد که برای تکمیل الزامات موجود در استاندارد API Spec 6A (استاندارد تجهیزات سرچاهی در حفاری نفت و گاز) در نظر گرفته شده‌اند. برای کاربردهای درون چاهی،باید به API Spec 5CRA مراجعه شود.

هدف از این استاندارد، اطمینان از این است که آلیاژهای پایه نیکل سخت شده مورد استفاده در ساخت قطعات حاوی فشار و کنترل کننده فشار Spec 6A ، در اثر وجود سطح بیش از حد فازهای مضر ترد و شکننده نمی‌شوند و حداقل الزامات کیفیت متالورژیکی را برآورده کنند.
