ANSI B11 – Machine Tools Safety شامل استانداردهایی است که به ایمنی و الزامات ایمنی برای انواع ابزارهای ماشینی می‌پردازند. برخی از استانداردهای الزامات ایمنی موجود در این پکیج عبارتند از:

• پرس‌های قدرتی هیدرولیکی
• پرس‌های قدرتی مکانیکال
• پرس‌های خم‌کن برقی
• قیچی‌های صنعتی
• ماشین‌های دستی فرز / حفاری
• ماشین‌های سنگ‌زنی
• ماشین‌های اره‌کاری فلز

این مجموعه استانداردها، شامل راهنمایی‌ برای تخمین، ارزیابی و کاهش خطرات مرتبط با ابزارهای ماشینی و معیارهای عملکردی برای استفاده ایمن از آن‌ها است.

 

استانداردها و گزارش‌های فنی سری B11 از استانداردهای ملی ایمنی آمریکا در 3 نوع استاندارد، یا TYPE طبقه بندی میشوند:

استانداردهای نوع A (استانداردهای پایه)

این استانداردها مفاهیم پایه، اصول طراحی و جنبه‌های کلی را ارائه می‌دهند که می‌توانند برای انواع ماشین‌آلات به کار گرفته شوند.

استانداردهای نوع B (استانداردهای ایمنی عمومی)

این استانداردها به یک یا چند جنبه ایمنی یا یک یا چند روش کاهش خطر می‌پردازند که می‌توانند در دامنه وسیعی از ماشین‌آلات مورد استفاده قرار گیرند.

استانداردهای نوع C (استانداردهای ایمنی ماشین‌آلات)

این استانداردها به الزامات ایمنی دقیق برای یک ماشین خاص یا گروه خاصی از ماشین‌ها می‌پردازند.

برای درک استانداردهای ANSI B11، آشنایی با ساختار نوع A-B-C تعیین‌شده در استاندارد  ISO 12100  ضروری است.
